Si è svolta ieri sera al Royal Albert Hall di Londra la cerimonia dei BAFTA.
Arrivati quest’anno alla 72ª edizione, sono considerati gli Oscar Inglesi, e sono i premi consegnati dalla British Academy of Film and Television Arts, organizzazione fondata nel 1947 da David Lean, Carol Reed, Alexander Korda e Charles Laughton.
La cerimonia, condotta per l’occasione, dall’attrice Joanna Lumley ha visto vincitori i film La Favorita di Yorgos Lanthimos e Roma di Alfonso Cuarón, che probabilmente porteranno a casa anche molti degli Oscar più importanti.
A sfidare il freddo sul Red Carpet tantissime le star presenti, tra cui anche Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams, Timothée Chalamet, Bradley Cooper e molti altri.
Hanno fatto il loro ingresso trionfale sul Red Carpet anche il Duca e la Duchessa di Cambridge: William, che è anche il presidente dei BAFTA, e Kate Middleton, in un vaporoso abito bianco di Alexander McQueen.
