Questa notte, al Beverly Hills Hotel di Los Angeles, ha avuto luogo la 79° edizione de Golden Globe Awards, presentata per l’occasione dagli attori Sandra Oh e Andy Samberg.

Come di consueto la Hollywood Foreign Press Association ha assegnato i premi alle due categorie FILM e SERIE TV, segnando il trionfo di Bohemian Rhapsody e Rami Malek (nel ruolo di Freddie Mercury) e Green Book che si aggiudica non solo il premio per il Miglior Attore Non Protagonista, andato a Mahershala Ali, ma anche quelli per la Miglior Commedia o Film Musicale e Miglior Sceneggiatura.

Portano a casa il Golden Globe le attrici Glenn Close per The Wife e Olivia Colman per The Favourite ( dopo essersi aggiudicata anche la Coppa Volpi a Venezia per la miglior interpretazione femminile).  Tra gli altri vincitori, il film d’animazione targato Sony/Marvel, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse e Roma di Alfonso Cuarón (vincitore del Leone d’Oro a Venezia), distribuito da Netflix.

Il tanto acclamato A Star Is Born porta a casa il premio per la Miglior Canzone con Shallow.

Per quanto riguarda la categoria delle SERIE TV è The Kaminsky Method a vincere più statuette, tra cui quella per la Miglior Serie TV – Musicale o Commedia e per il Miglior Attore Protagonista con Michael Douglas. 

Altro importante premio è stato quello alla carriera, il Cecil B. DeMille Award, conferito a Jeff Bridges.
